Latest data released by Public Health England has shown that in the seven day period ending 18th November, a total of 79 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the Credenhill, Weobley & Wellington area of Herefordshire. This is an increase of 163.3% on the previous seven day period and gave a COVID-19 infection rate of 817 cases per 100,000 population.

Action has been taken, with St Mary’s CE Primary School in Credenhill announcing yesterday that it would close for a week long ‘circuit breaker’ to limit the spread of transmission in the community.

Elsewhere across Herefordshire, COVID-19 infection rates continue to rise, with the Leominster North (1,123 cases per 100,000 population) and Leominster South (915 cases per 100,000 population) areas continuing to record ‘very high’ infection rates.
