Concerning reports about shots being fired at a van in Herefordshire have emerged on social media.

In a post on Van Life UK – Wilderness Vandwellers said:

“I’ve been living in my converted prison van for 5 years in the UK.

“I have never particularly had any problems other than a few eggs being thrown at our van in the night etc.

“However two nights ago myself, my partner and two dogs decided to park at HAUGH WOODS, HEREFORDSHIRE.

“Around midnight we heard two cars arrive and as they slowly passed us shining multiple torches through our windows.

“Within a couple of minutes we heard around 15 / 20 shots being fired at our van. Our front windows were shot through as well as 11 holes down the side of our home.

“Thankfully we were ok and within 5 minutes they had drove off and didn’t decide to continue.

“Over the years I’ve made many jokes regarding living in a prison van, “oh thankfully it’s bulletproof” but never did I actually believe that some day this would actually happen.

“Stay safe on the road van friends.”

Your Herefordshire has approached West Mercia Police for further comment and to establish whether the incident has been reported to them.
