There has been a sharp rise in COVID-19 infection rates in the Bromyard area over recent days. Latest data released from Public Health England shows that COVID-19 infection rates in the Bromyard & Bishop’s Frome area increased sharply in the seven day period ending 1st November, with 57 new cases recorded in the area, a rise of 111.1% on the previous week, giving a COVID-19 infection rate of 529.4 cases per 100,000 population.
However, despite this rise, there are other areas of the county that continue to record even higher COVID-19 infection rates. The Hereford North West area continues to record the highest infection rate in the county, with a total of 76 new cases of the virus being recorded in the seven day period ending 1st November. This is an increase of 33.3% on the previous week, which indicated a COVID-19 infection rate of 809.7 cases per 100,000 population.
Infection rates are also high in North Herefordshire, with the Wigmore, Orleton & Brimfield recording a COVID-19 infection rate of 668 cases per 100,000 population in the seven day period ending 1st November.
