Seven people have tested positive for COVID-19 at a Centre for Adults with Learning Disabilities in Hereford. The St Owens Centre, run by Aspire Living who are part of the Thera Group – An organisation delivering care and support to people with a learning disability in Herefordshire, confirmed the outbreak in communications with us this morning.
A spokesperson for Aspire Living said:
“Aspire Living have followed safety measures, as advised by the government, throughout the pandemic, but recently closed one of their daytime premises as a precaution.
“Testing has shown seven people to be positive for Covid-19 and regular testing has followed. We have been working closely with the Health Protection Team who have confirmed it will be safe to re-open on 14th December.”
