Members of the public have been asked to keep an eye out for possible fragments of a meteorite. It is believed that the meteorite that lit up the skies across Herefordshire and the majority of the United Kingdom on Sunday evening could have landed in the Bishops Cleeve area of Gloucestershire, according to the UK Fireball Alliance. However, fragments could possibly have been deposited over a large area, including parts of Herefordshire

The meteor caused a significant loud bang that alerted many people across the UK at approximately 9.55pm on Sunday evening.

The UK Meteor Network has issued advice for anyone that comes across what they believe could be fragments of the meteorite.
