Police in Hereford are believed to have used drones yesterday evening to search for a small number of people after visiting a number of takeaway establishments on Commercial Road.
Members of the public reported police visiting these establishments at around 8.30pm, alongside members of the immigration team. This is yet to be confirmed by West Mercia Police but a member of the public also told us that the drones were searching for people of interest following the visits.
Sally Towler commented on our Facebook page saying:
“Me and my hubby were getting pizza at the time. It was police and immigration.”
Officers remained at Munchies takeaway on Commercial Road until late last night, with police stopping members of the public from entering the takeaway outlet from 9.30pm.
Activity was also noted further up Commercial Road.
We have approached West Mercia Police for comment.
