There is currently a heavy police presence on the A438 (Ledbury Road) near Lugg Bridge.
Local residents have also reported seeing Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews in the area, with a search and rescue boat also seen near the River Lugg.
It is unclear at present whether a search of the river is taking place.
The road remains open at the time being with no delays.
