King Charles III and the Queen Consort will fly to Wales this morning, for a series of visits in Cardiff, before flying back to London this evening to prepare for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral on Monday.
Both King Charles III and the Queen Consort will attend a service of prayer and reflection at Llandaff Church before they head to the Senedd. They will then attend a private audience with Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford at Cardiff Castle early this afternoon.
Anti-monarchy protesters are expected to hold a protest at Cardiff Castle during King Charles III’s visit. There will be a heavy police presence in the city to ensure that the visit goes ahead without any issues.
The King will then return to Buckingham Palace before heading back to Westminster Hall for the Vigil of Princes this evening.

His Majesty The King will travel to Cardiff where he and The Queen Consort will attend a Service of Prayer and Reflection for the Life of The Queen at Llandaff Cathedral. Their Majesties will be greeted at the Cathedral by the Lord Lieutenant of South Glamorgan.
The King and Queen Consort will then travel to the Senedd and be greeted by The Llywydd and First Minister, Mark Drakeford. Their Majesties will receive a Motion of Condolence.
Later in the afternoon, The King will conduct audiences and attend a reception for local charities at Cardiff Castle.

In the afternoon, His Majesty The King will meet Faith Leaders at Buckingham Palace.

His Majesty The King will be joined by The Duke of York, the Earl of Wessex and Princess Royal to conduct a vigil beside Her Majesty The Queen’s Coffin.
