West Mercia Police Inspector Alex Warner has taken to Twitter to explain his concerns about groups of people gathering at Gullet Quarry in the Malvern Hills.

The concerns are sadly all very real to the family and friends of two young men who died after getting into difficulty in the quarry back in 2013.

Inspector Alex Warner from West Mercia Police said:

“We have had to deal with a number of groups having barbecues and swimming at the Gullet Quarry. There is a real danger of death here. Working with Malvern Hills Trust to prosecute offenders under Local Bye Laws.”
