West Mercia Police have issued an update and an appeal, following reports that a large number of toilets were stolen from Herefordshire.
The incident occurred in the Pencombe area of the county, with reports of a similar incident at Ludlow Racecourse.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“You may have seen media reports recently that a large number of portaloos were stolen from the Pencombe area sometime between Sun 8th Oct and the evening of Thurs 12th Oct.
“It is possible the portaloos were stolen in batches, possibly on different days.
“We are renewing media appeals for anyone locally to please check video doorbell, dashcam or CCTV footage for this time frame to look for any sightings of vehicles towing portaloos similar to the ones in the attached photo.
“On a separate matter, we are also keen to hear from anyone with information in relation to a theft from a vehicle in Pencombe sometime either late evening Sun 15th Oct or the early hours of Mon 16th Oct.
“Stolen items included horse grooming/ clipping equipment.
