West Mercia Police have issued an appeal, after receiving reports of suspicious activity in a Herefordshire village.

Residents in Moreton-on-Lugg have reported a number of incidents over recent days.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:

“In Moreton On Lugg, residents have reported a male individual exhibiting suspicious behaviour in the area overnight.

“Residents have reported a male prowling around the vicinity.

“This marks the second such occurrence within the past week, prompting concern among the local community.

“In a separate incident, an individual claimed to be reading meters in the area this afternoon (19th October). When asked for identification, they allegedly refused.

“It’s worth noting that it’s not clear whether these incidents are linked in any way.

“We are advising residents to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity they may come across.”
