West Mercia Police officers from Hereford Rural North SNT met with Councillor Paul Andrews to discuss concerns surrounding parking outside St Mary’s RC High School in Lugwardine.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police (Hereford Rural North SNT) said:
Yesterday officers from Hereford Rural North SNT met with Councillor Paul Andrews in Lugwardine to discuss parking concerns caused by parents collecting children from St Mary’s School.
Inconsiderate or illegal parking can put pedestrians and other road users in danger. It can also create an obstruction for emergency vehicles.
A number of options were discussed in order to make parking safer for other road users and pedestrians, particularly around Lumber Lane, Rhystone Lane and Traherne Close. A number of these options will be explored further with Councillor Andrews working with the local Parish Council and it is hoped that further details will be available soon.
