Officers are appealing for witnesses of an assault which took place outside the Racecourse and left a man with life changing injuries to his wrist.

Gloucestershire Constabulary were contacted last week with a report that a man had been assaulted by a group of unknown men at around 6pm on Thursday 16 March.

It was reported that the victim was walking towards the coach park when he was approached by a group of men and attacked.

He fell to the floor and was kicked sustaining a broken wrist which required an operation.

This took place near to Racecourse roundabout and the victim also had his jacket, which contained a rose gold diamond ring, stolen.

The offending group was made up of four men, one of them was described as being black and two were white with ginger hair. There is not a description for the fourth man.

Police like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault and hasn’t already spoken to police or who was driving past and has dashcam footage they feel may be relevant.
