West Mercia Police officers have issued advice to local residents following a suspicious incident in Hereford on Wednesday evening.
On Thursday evening, West Mercia Police shared the following information:
“On Wednesday night there was an incident at an address in Beattie Avenue, Hereford where an unknown person was knocking on the front door of the address and trying to enter via the front door.
“Police attended the address but unfortunately there was nobody in the area at this time.
“Please ensure you are securing your addresses by locking doors & windows.
“We also suggest looking into CCTV / Camera Doorbells (Such as Ring) and security lighting.
“If you witness any suspicious activity or a crime is in progress, get in contact with us via 101 or 999 appropriately.”
