West Mercia Police officers have cordoned off an area of a footpath next to the River Wye this morning.
The area cordoned off is on the Castle Green side of the river and officers remain in the area. This follows a number of sexual offences in the area over recent weeks, with a vigil being held just last night.
Police confirmed yesterday that a 48-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of rape and later released on bail. Two other arrests in relation to separate incidents have also been made in recent weeks.
Your Herefordshire has approached West Mercia Police for further comment.
