West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted rape in Ross-on-Wye.
The incident happened some time between 1.30am and 2.25am on Monday morning (22 April) on the pathway near to the Ross-on-Wye tennis courts on Walford Road.
The victim, a woman in her 30s, sustained minor injuries and was left shaken following the incident.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape.
Detective Inspector Mark Peters from West Mercia Police said: “We take reports of this nature very seriously and a thorough investigation is underway while the victim is being supported by specially-trained officers.
“I would urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or saw anything suspicious in the Walford Road area in the early hours of Monday morning to please come forward.”
