West Mercia Police officers have issued an appeal following reports of vehicles being spotted visiting quiet lanes near Hereford late at night.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:

“We have received reports that some vehicles have been driving up the bridal paths in the Sutton St Nicholas area.

“The location of these bridle paths are – at the top of Rhea Lane and and also one situated near to Ordis Farm (ST5/MR29).

“Bridle paths are not for vehicles to drive on and unfortunately damage has also been deliberately caused to crops in the area by the vehicle(s). It is thought that the damage was done late evening but we do not have anymore details at this time.

“Please keep an eye on the area whilst in the location and if you see any vehicles driving up bridal paths, then please take note of the vehicle registration number and report it to the Police.”
