West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Herefordshire.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:

“Did you see a collision on the A40 in Herefordshire last night (Thursday 11 August)?

“It happened around 9.45pm on the westbound carriageway, heading towards Monmouth, near Ganarew.

“Tragically, it led to the death of a 26-year-old man from Rhos-on-Sea.

Inspector Darren Godsall said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this incredibly difficult time.

“He was riding his motorbike along this stretch of the A40 when the collision happened.

“We believe a tractor towing a trailer of bales may have been involved.

“We are asking anyone who may have seen, or captured on dash cam, the collision or the vehicles involved to please get in touch.”
