Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews have had a busy evening tackling a fire involving an agricultural vehicle.

A spokesperson for Peterchurch Fire Station said:

“The water carrier was called to a large agricultural vehicle fire near to Wormbridge along with Ewyas Harold Fire Station and Hereford Fire Station. Crews extinguished a small fire 

“While returning to Peterchurch we were mobilised, along with Ewyas Harold Fire Station and Hereford Fire Station again, to 35 acres of standing corn and a length of hedge well alight. Crews used the 9000 litres from the carrier along with 4 hosereels and beaters to extinguish the fire.”
