West Mercia Police are appealing for information after a 12-year-old boy was subjected to homophobic abuse during a hate crime incident in Herefordshire over the weekend.
The incident occurred in Ledbury and West Mercia Police are appealing for help in finding a woman in relation to the incident.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“We’re appealing for witnesses following a hate crime incident in Ledbury at the weekend.
“Shortly before 3pm on Saturday 29 April a 12-year-old boy was verbally assaulted by a woman who shouted homophobic insults at him.
“The incident took place on the playing field off Long Acres in Ledbury, close to the leisure centre.
LThe woman is described as white, large build, medium height, with black hair and was wearing a black top and possibly jeans.
“She had a number of children with her at the time.
