West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Shropshire Fire and Rescue were all called to a collision involving a lorry this morning.

The collision occurred in Broomfield, near Ludlow.

A spokesperson for Shropshire Fire and Rescue said:

“At 06:31 this morning were alerted to a persons trapped RTC in the Bromfield area.

“Along with our colleagues from Ludlow Fire Station and Leintwardine Fire Station on arrival we found one Lgv which had collided with a tree before coming to rest against a building.

“Crews worked well together to free the driver before handing them over to the care of West Midlands Ambulance Service and we wish all concerned a full and speedy recovery.
