Motorists are warned to expect delays once again today, with emergency roadworks in place on the A49 in Hereford.

Emergency gas works are taking place on the A49 (Ross Road) in Hereford.

The roadworks mean that one lane is closed on the A49 (Ross Road) between Holme Lacy Road and Bullingham Lane.

The roadworks caused significant delays during the evening rush hour, with many motorists reporting that it added a significant amount of time to their journeys.

Similar disruption is expected during the school run and rush hour this morning.

Cadent Gas are carrying out the work.

It is estimated that the roadworks could remain in place for a number of days. Motorists are therefore advised to use alternative routes if possible to minimise disruption.

We hope to have more information later.
