A motorcyclist has suffered a significant injury to his leg after being involved in a collision with a car earlier today.

The incident occurred near Upper Sapey, with West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service in attendance.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (Tenbury Fire Station) said:

“Crews have just returned from an RTC near Upper Sapey involving a car and a motorcycle. On arrival crews were tasked with making the vehicles safe whilst ambulance crews tended to the motorcyclist – who was conscious but had suffered significant injury to his right leg. 

“Privacy screens were put up by fire crew whilst treatment was being given. The crew then assisted in carrying the motorcyclist onto the air ambulance. 

“We wish him a speedy recovery. West Mercia Police were also in attendance.”
