Morrisons is kicking off the New Year by expanding its Price Match with Aldi and Lidl to include over 500 everyday essentials and best-sellers in stores and online.
Starting January 1st, new additions like olive oil, coffee, eggs, single cream and pasta sauce will join the hundreds of existing Price Match items already available, including bananas, potatoes, broccoli, and onions. This means customers can fill their baskets with high-quality products at prices matched to, or cheaper than, Aldi and Lidl.Â
Morrisons remains committed to British farming, with staples like 100% British beef mince, chicken fillets, and locally sourced carrots also included in the Price Match, alongside other favourites like semi-skimmed milk, rice, cheese, and tins of chopped tomatoes.
Gareth Lloyd, Head of Price at Morrisons, said:“We’re starting 2025 by doubling down on value for our customers. Expanding our Price Match means more of the essentials and brands customers love at the prices they expect, with the quality they trust from Morrisons. This builds on the savings and rewards we’ve introduced throughout the year – from price cuts to better deals for our More Card members. It’s all about helping shoppers get more for their money.”
Morrisons launched its Price Match in February 2024 with over 200 products, including staples like corn flakes, baby wipes, bread, as well as household essentials such as anti-bac spray, bleach, and toilet rolls. Signage in stores and online makes it easy for customers to spot Price Matched products.
The Price Match comes alongside Morrisons revamped loyalty scheme. More Card customers can now earn 5 points for every product purchased in stores, online, at Morrisons Daily convenience stores, and even on Amazon. Shoppers can collect points on everything they buy and turn them into ‘Morrisons Fivers’ to save on future shops.
Morrisons checks its Price Match items twice a week and adjusts prices if necessary to stay competitive. Customers can find these savings in all Morrisons supermarkets, online, and via Click & Collect – though Price Matched products aren’t available in third-party platforms like Amazon or Deliveroo.
