McDonald’s have said that 65 jobs will be created if a new Drive-Thru restaurant gets the go ahead in Herefordshire.
Plans for a Drive Thru restaurant on the A40/A449 junction in Ross-on-Wye have been submitted by McDonald’s Restaurants Ltd to Herefordshire Council.
The planning application details plans for the proposed erection of a freestanding restaurant with drive-thru facility, car parking, landscaping and associated works, including Customer Order Displays (COD), Goal Post Height Restrictor, Play Frame and Pumping Station.
The application goes on to confirm that 65 jobs would be created if the planning application is approved.
McDonald’s currently have two restaurants in Herefordshire, both located in Hereford, with the only Drive-Thru restaurant in the county currently operating from Belmont Road. Plans for a McDonald’s restaurant in Leominster were rejected by the town council just over a year ago, with councillors deeming the plans a risk to established town centre businesses.
