A man has died after being found in water in a country park this morning. West Mercia Police officers were called alongside West Midlands Ambulance Service to Worcester Woods Country Park at around 8am.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“We were called to Worcester Woods Country Park at around 8am this morning (Wednesday 8 June) following concerns for the safety of a man in the water.
“Officers attended the scene with colleagues from the ambulance service, and the man was taken to hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead.
“Parts of the wooded area at the park may be closed for some time today (Wednesday 8 June) as police remain at the scene to carry out enquiries to establish the circumstances of the incident.”
