An extensive refurbishment of a beer garden is taking place at a popular pub in Hereford.

The Oxford Arms, based on Widemarsh Street in Hereford, started the work to upgrade its beer garden a few weeks ago and have recently shared a few photos detailing the progress so far.

The beer garden, which has to be one of the longest in Herefordshire, will continue to have a grass area, but work is ongoing to upgrade the paving area near the rear of the main building.

In the summer months, the outside area of the pub is full of people, both young and old enjoying this outdoor space, with a fantastic atmosphere.

The pub often hosts events such as BBQ’s, outdoor parties and bingo. They also show live football and other sports on screens both indoors and outdoors.

Work is expected to be completed by the start of July. (Hopefully the sunshine decides to turn up by then!)
