Major changes to the Old Market car park have been approved by Hereford Council, ahead of a planned relocation to the city centre by MandM Direct.

The Herefordshire based company is set to move into the former Debenhams unit at Old Market Hereford, meaning that around 250 employees could end up working at new offices in Hereford city centre. The current offices in Leominster are described as no longer fit for purpose and therefore a move to Hereford city centre has been sought by the company.

Following the letting of the upper two floors of Unit 1 (former Debenhams) to an office user, season tickets will be issued to staff to allow parking in the multi-storey element of the car park only on weekdays Monday – Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). The user will be permitted use of a maximum of 119 spaces on a first come first served basis in the multi storey area of the car park. Staff vehicle registrations will be recorded with Centre Management in order that the season ticket scheme can be managed appropriately via the ANPR camera and supporting software.

The car parking charges for the Old Market development in Hereford for other members of the public / workers. These charges are applicable from Monday to Sunday, and will include Charges for Bank Holidays. The Centre Management provide a 10 minute free access period to the car park to cover eventualities like Parents that may wish to drop off their children & pick up, as well as taxi pick up and drop off for elderly or disabled customers.
