Local residents have contacted Your Herefordshire to share their anger after graffiti was sprayed across the Greyfriars Bridge.
The bridge, which was built in the late 1960s, is the main route linking the north and south of the city.
The graffiti, which can be seen where viewing the bridge from the Old Bridge, has mostly appeared over recent days.
Gary from Hereford said:
“How on earth has all this spray paint got on the bridge?
“There’s no ledge to stand on! The lower supports also freshly daubed with graffiti.”
There has also been graffiti sprayed in the surrounding area, including along walkways and on buildings.
Here is a video of the building and the opening ceremony of the Greyfriars Bridge from the 1960s.
