The Lloyds Bank branch in Hereford is currently temporarily closed for refurbishment work.
The branch, located in High Town, recently put in a planning application to Herefordshire Council, detailing the planned work that is expected to take place for four weeks from the 18th November, with the expectation of reopening around 15th December.
The proposed work includes internal refurbishment and decorations to the ground floor, first and third floors. External works include the replacement of two doors, one leading to the ground floor rear courtyard and one leading to the roof on the third floor.
The intention of the refurbishment work is to improve and upgrade the finishes to the public facing areas of the bank, with improved security also part of the work.
Two of the internal ATMs will be removed, as well as two cashier counters. The bank will also remove all existing marketing material such as leaflets to reduce the banks paper usage. New digital screens and flooring will also be installed to improve the banking experience for customers.
The company says that the work will respect the historic character and appearance of the existing building but will provide customers with new facilities that will help the brand image.
