Left Bank Village has provided an update on its popular New Year’s Eve party, with levels on the River Wye in Hereford set to rise once again.

The Environment Agency has predicted a peak of between 4.7-5.2 metres on Sunday evening (New Year’s Eve) in Hereford.

Additional flood defences have been installed at Left Bank Village, in anticipation of higher river levels, but the venue remains confident that the event can take place.

Thousands of people normally attend the event, and they will be hoping that they can welcome in 2024 without the river causing any issues.

A spokesperson for Left Bank Village said on Facebook:

“Hey Hereford! As we gear up for the New Year’s Eve festivities, we wanted to give you a quick update.
