It was a special night for Firefighters from Kington Fire Station when Hereford & Worcester Fire & Rescue Service Chief Fire Officer turned up to pay tribute to the hard work that crews put in by handing over awards to some of the crew.
Firefighter Andrew Davies (Smokey to us and everyone in Kington) awarded for 40 years service.
Lauren Barnett (Loz) awarded for her work earlier in the year to promote the fire service nationally on live TV.
A Commendation Award for a crew of six for an outstanding rescue of a mother and child trapped in rising flooding waters back during storm Dennis in February.
