A supermarket in Herefordshire is set to close for nearly six months for expansion work to take place.
Lidl in Hereford will close its doors from 9th May and will reopen in the autumn once work is completed.
Your Herefordshire announced several months ago that plans to extend the store had been approved.
Lidl in Hereford will almost double in size once work to extend the store into the former Poundworld unit is completed.
A planning application submitted back in March 2020 detailed that the supermarket chain wished to extend its floor space at its Hereford store as part of plans by Lidl to increase its retail footprint in the United Kingdom.
The planning application that was approved states that Lidl will extend into the Poundworld unit and introduce a new service and loading area to help increase the amount of retail space that it can utilise.
There will also be slight alterations to parking at the front of the store. Lidl say that the changes are likely to see the company employ a few extra members of staff.
