River levels remain very high across many parts of Herefordshire, with significant flooding in places, particularly next to the River Wye and the River Lugg.

Parts of Hereford city are underwater, with Greyfriars Avenue, Holme Lacy Causeway, Watery Lane and Lower Bullingham all closed this morning.

Further rainfall across the county has led to river levels rising once again upstream on the River Wye, leading to a risk of further flooding across Herefordshire later today and into Sunday.

At 6.30am, the River Wye was 4.65 metres in Hereford. This is expected to rise again from mid morning.
