Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews have spent the night tackling a fire in Leominster.
The incident occurred on Southern Avenue, with four crews spending a number of hours at the incident.
Fortunately, there were no reports of casualties.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:
“Four Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – two from Leominster and one each from Kingsland and Tenbury Wells Fire Stations – plus the water carrier from Leominster and in the incident command unit from Wyre Forest were called at 21:28 on 25 October to smoke issuing from a building in Southern Avenue. Leominster.
“The incident was sectorised and a fire involving a woodchipper in a single-storey building was extinguished by four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus using two hosereel jets and covering jets.
“The incident was marked as pending closure at 00:11.
“A thermal imaging camera was deployed and no heat spots were found upon reinspection at 02:00.
“No other emergency services were required and there were no casualties.”
