Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service have provided an update on a house fire thats occurred in Hereford this afternoon.

The fire occurred at a property in the Hampton Dene area of the city.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:

“Three Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – two from Hereford and one from Fownhope Fire Stations – were called 1t 11:43 on 20 September to a house fire in Hampton Dene Road, Hereford.

“A garage attached to a two-storey detached property was well alight with the fire fought using three hosereel jets with two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. 

“The inside of the home, including the roof space, was heavily smoke-logged. 

“Cadent and National Grid are also in attendance. 

“As at 13:54, crews remain on scene.”
