Former Westfields footballer Derek Craddock from Hereford is currently taking part in a 28 mile run during the month of February to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer research.

Derek told Your Herefordshire, “I’ve decided after seeing posts about this event to take part, 28 miles in 28 days! One because I’m a lazy so and so and need to move, but secondly and most importantly the brilliant cause it will raise money for.”

Derek continues, “Pancreatic cancer is a subject that hits very close to home, any money raised can help towards the research, treatments and support. Pancreatic cancer sadly took away my best friend Ashley Rumsey. I will be doing this in his memory and to support those who suffer in the future. Please donate to help the cause and motivate me to get off my a backside.”

Derek added, “There are still 20 days to go this month, we’ve already raised over £1000, but any more money we can get in will be massively appreciated.”
