A Hereford man has been charged by West Mercia Police and remanded in custody, after being arrested earlier this week when paedophile hunters tracked him down following conversations with a decoy that was acting as a 12 year old child.

Kevin Mathers of Hereford was charged with the following:

1 x Sexual Communications with a child

1 x Adult over 18 years old inciting a child into sexual activity and to view sexual material

From West Mercia Police:

Kevin Mathers, 46, from Hereford, has entered into a guilty plea to incite a child to engage in sexual communication and attempting to cause a child to look at an image of a person engaging in a sexual activity today (Wednesday 26 August). 

He appeared virtually at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court and will be remanded until his sentencing on Tuesday 22 September.
