Four people have been killed in a large explosion at a warehouse near Bristol, Avon & Somerset Police have confirmed this evening.
Emergency services have spent the afternoon dealing with the major incident and confirmed the news in a press conference a short while ago.
The explosion occurred at the Wessex Water recycling centre and police said that a number of workers were at the top of a chemical tank at the time that it exploded. Police and other members of the emergency services have spent the afternoon searching for people that were declared missing following the incident.
