Fire crews from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were called to Dolyhir in Powys on Friday afternoon, to reports of in industrial conveyor fire.
Kington Fire Station posted the following on Facebook:
“On Friday afternoon we were called to an industrial conveyor fire in the large primary crusher at Dolyhir.
“We were met with a fire on two levels and heavy smoke logging, a quick decision was made to request more resources and then deployed crews wearing breathing apparatus into the building to tackle the fire.
“Quick actions by all saved further damage and fire spread. Thanks to the onsite staff for excellent help, advice and knowledge of the area. The work doesn’t stop there, the crew are back at the station today cleaning everything.”
