A store that promised so much for the city of Hereford. Debenhams was an anchor store for the Old Market project in Hereford, however just seven years after opening, the store will close its doors for the final time next month.
Since Debenhams announced that it would be closing all of its stores, a huge closing down sale commenced. Despite the empty shelves that are now fairly evident at the store in Hereford, there is still an opportunity for shoppers to grab a bargain with many items discounted by up to 70%.
The loss of Debenhams will leave a huge void to fill for British Land (owners of Old Market Hereford) and such a large unit could be difficult to fill with many retailers struggling and reluctant to invest following the Coronavirus pandemic.
