A number of residents have shared their confusion following Herefordshire Council’s announcement that a busy road in Hereford will be closed for four days from 31st July, for resurfacing work to be carried out.
In a tweet shared on Tuesday, Herefordshire Council / Balfour Beatty, stated that the A438 Blueschool Street in Hereford, would be closed for 4 days, from the 31st July, for resurfacing work to take place on this busy route in the city.
However, what the Tweet didn’t state, was whether this was a full closure during this period, or just overnight. What’s even more confusing is that the road closure doesn’t even show up when you search for it on the Herefordshire Council / Balfour Beatty Living Places roadworks site, which is causing further confusion.
Motorists are being warned to expect delays, with other significant work taking place on major routes in the city at the same time, including Whitecross Road and Roman Road.
Much of the work is taking place during the school summer holidays to try and help minimise any disruption caused. A diversion route for motorists to use for the duration of the works on the A438 (Blueschool Street) has been provided by Herefordshire Council / Balfour Beatty Living Places on the below tweet.
