The A49 remains closed between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye at Harewood End this morning due to an incident.
Emergency Services, including West Mercia Police are currently on scene. The road is expected to be closed for a considerable time whilst West Mercia Police carry out collision investigation work.
National Highways have advised that road users are being diverted:
Northbound traffic:
- Take the A40 southbound through Pencraig and Little Doward towards Monmouth
- Take the exit to join the A466 northbound
- Continue on the A466 through Buckholt, Sandyway and Wormelow
- Rejoin the A49 northbound
Southbound traffic:
- Take the A466 southbound
- Continue on the A466 through Wormelow, Sandyway and Buckholt towards Monmouth
- Take the exit to join the A40 northbound
- Continue on the A40 through Little Doward and Pencraig towards Ross-on-Wye
