It won’t be a surprise to many, as the doors haven’t reopened since restaurants were given the go ahead to reopen, but Ask Italian has confirmed that it has surrendered the lease on its Broad Street restaurant in Hereford.
Administrators surrendered the lease on 17th July when the companies owners The Azzurri Group announced that 75 of its Ask Italian and Zizzi outlets would close.
“The Covid-19 crisis has had a profound impact on the casual dining sector, bringing many businesses like ours to a standstill,” said Steve Holmes, chief executive of Azzurri Group.
The Zizzi restaurant at The Old Market has reopened and is currently unaffected.
