Asda has launched a new meningitis vaccination which will make the jab the most affordable on the market.

Asda’s new launch comes as leading charity Meningitis Now recently called for more affordable protection against the serious disease.
Meningitis is a fast-acting and potentially life-threatening disease, making vaccination an essential safeguard. Asda’s initiative ensures that more people can take proactive steps to protect themselves and their loved ones.
From 2023-2024, there were 341 cases meningitis cases registered in England, with MenB remaining the most prevalent cause with 301 cases of this strain of the disease.*[1]
Last week, Meningitis Now repeated their call to manufacturers and pharmacies for lower vaccine costs to ensure more people, particularly students, young adults, and those travelling abroad, can access vital immunisation.
Available at all Asda Pharmacy locations, the store’s trained Pharmacists will be able to administer both the ACWY Vaccine (£45) and the MenB vaccine – which will be priced at just under £180, making Asda’s offer the most cost-effective option for individuals seeking protection.
