Another school in Herefordshire has this afternoon confirmed that it will close early on Monday and Tuesday next week, with extreme temperatures predicted.
Kingstone High School and Primary School will both close early on Monday and Tuesday, with the following update being sent out to parents today (Thursday):
Changes to the School Day on Monday and Tuesday
“Due to the weather predicted on Monday and Tuesday, we are adjusting the timings of the school day. The Primary School and the High School shall be closing early on both Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th July.
“Leaving time will be set as 1pm and buses will be provided as usual.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but the student safety is our paramount concern.
“If there are any parents or carers who would have significant difficulty by this change, please contact the relevant school.
“Please note that the High School Sports Day will now be held tomorrow, Friday 15th July.”
