The following update is from The Marches Surgery, in response to an outbreak of Coronavirus.
This is to let you know that five members of our staff have tested positive for Covid-19. This is focused in a non-clinical area. Staff affected are currently self-isolating and contacts are being notified. Precautionary testing of all staff has been undertaken. No patients have been identified as having contact with any of the staff affected.
We have taken extensive measures to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 and ensure the safety of both staff and patients, and we are working closely with Herefordshire Council, Public Health England and the CCG to ensure all necessary precautions are being taken to ensure your safety. We are grateful for their support and expert advice.
Whilst both surgery buildings are currently closed to patients as a precautionary measure, we encourage you to call us as you have been throughout the pandemic, and we will do our best to help you through phone and video consultations. The prescription line remains open and you can, via our website www.marchessurgery.co.uk complete an online consultation form too. Patients are reminded that urgent medical help is available by contacting NHS 111, and ringing 999 in an emergency.
We are doing our very best to restore services and thank you for your patience over this time.
