All rail services running between Hereford and South Wales, and Hereford and Manchester have been cancelled this morning due to a shortage of signalling staff.
The following update is from National Rail:
A shortage of signalling staff at Hereford means trains running through the station may be cancelled or revised.
Disruption is expected until 18:00.
Alternative travel advice:
Trains will be terminating at Shrewsbury and at Abergavenny or Cardiff Central.
Customers will be able to use their tickets dated today (Saturday 21 May) instead for travel on Sunday 22 May 2022.
You can use your ticket on the following services today at no extra cost:
- Avanti West Coast between Birmingham New Street and Crewe.
- CrossCountry between Cardiff and Birmingham New Street / Birmingham New Street and Manchester Piccadilly.
- Great Western Railway between Cardiff and Bristol Parkway
- West Midlands Railway between Birmingham New Street and Shrewsbury / Birmingham New Street and Crewe
