A man has been arrested following a collision overnight in Hereford.

Update from West Mercia Police:

We received a call around 10:10pm yesterday evening (18 February) with a report of a road traffic collision on Westfaling Street in Hereford. 

“Officers arrived to find a car had collided with other stationary vehicles. 

“One man, aged 41, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.”

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service have provided an update following an incident involving an overturned car on Westfaling Street in Hereford on Tuesday evening.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said:

“Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hereford Fire Station were called at 22:11 on 18 February to an RTC involving a small vehicle in Breinton Avenue, Hereford.

“The incident involved two petrol vehicles, one of which was on its roof in the carriageway.

“No persons were trapped but one male casualty had self-extricated before the arrival of the fire service and was assessed by paramedics, who attended along with police.

“The vehicles were made safe by fire service personnel and Westfaling Street was closed in both directions. The incident was marked as pending closure at 22:56.”

Emergency services are responding to an overturned vehicle in Hereford tonight.

The incident has occurred on Westfaling Street, near the junction with White Horse Street.

A car has overturned and emergency services are in attendance. 

West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service are all at the scene. 

The road is closed in both directions.

Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.
