A football club in Hereford has provided an update, after a number of travellers pitched up on its pitches over the weekend.

Travellers arrived at Belmont Abbey (the home of Toros FC) on Saturday evening.

This forced the club to move football training, and its Easter holiday sessions to an alternative venue at the Bishops Meadows in Hereford.

Toros FC provided the following update on the situation this morning (Monday):

“Due to the overwhelming response from everyone, Herefordshire Council have politely asked us not to send in any more reports or concerns to their team.

“Thank you to everyone who took the time to report the issue.”

Travellers have since left a site on Old School Lane in Hereford, but local residents have reported issues.
